there are many faries located throughout Zelda: Oot, some of these include; Death mountain: by the leader, in the giant fish's pond to his left, by Ganon's casle...

Getting to the Boss hint #1
Jabu-Jabu's belly, having trouble opening the boss door? since you no longer have the princess, just pick up a near-by crate, and set it down on the button.
